We want all of our clients to feel welcome, inspired, and intrigued. A large part of AZ Custom Knives involves teaching people how to make knives, how to forge, how to sharpen and how to make sheaths. We love showing people what they are capable of and challenging them to surprise themselves.
AZ Custom Knives was founded by Alessio Zilli, Journeyman Artistic Blacksmith. After years of visiting family in Canada, Alessio fulfilled his lifelong dream of immigrating from Switzerland in 2009 and shortly after, started establishing himself as a knife maker in Salmon Arm, BC.
Alessio’s background stems from a true love of metallurgy. He loves creating beautiful, functional pieces of art and lives by the motto, “Perfection can only be reached if you aim for it”.
